Event Management
1. ReUnion Events
In 2018, I had the pleasure of Co-Founding ReUnion Events, managing over 50 artists and 75 bands and musicians over 6 events in two years.
The aim: was to bring together artists and musicians together for a festival-like experience over the course of an entire day, giving artists and musicians a platform to showcase their original works. This also supported the the local business, bringing in thousands of dollars more than originally planned in a single day (they loved us).
2. Performers and Artists
In 2023 I founded Performers and Artists, focussing on giving Footscray and the surrounding western suburb artists the chance to showcase their original work.
Although a similar structure to ReUnion, these events were focussed on supporting artists, musicians and audience members with any accessibility needs. I specifically chose a venue with ramps into the venue and ramps to the stage for easy access. In addition to the ramps, I also ensured the placement of art were at appropriate heights for audience members and there was enough space in the venue for those who required wheelchairs.
The aim of Performers and Artists was to support local artists and creatives who love their craft but also feel the pressures of working full time, as well as supporting the local community by bringing more people into the area.
